Review - Grand Slam (Winning Ace #3) by Tracie Delaney
Bring out the naughty step! If you read my review you'll understand why author of 'Grand Slam', Tracie Delaney needs to put her behind on it. Then after a time-out I'll give that lady a congratulatory hug.
Here's more about Grand Slam, book 3 in the Winning Ace series...
Release date October 11th!
As this series is a continuation (and you really should pick up the first two!) I'll avoid dropping any spoilers. But Grand Slam starts off at a dark moment for both Cash and Tally. At the beginning of the series, tennis player Cash Gallagher had to go some way to win me over with his arrogance and brashness. Tally seemed like the perfect foil for his flaws. But throughout the series he managed to chip away at me with the authors skill at gradually revealing his vulnerabilities. And now I'm in love. Sure after the end of book 2 I wanted to shake him, but he got me with his messed up idea of selflessness.
Grand Slam begins with Cash and Tally both facing their demons. And Cash has many of those to slay. He needs to get his career back on track, and he needs to face his fears in order to win Tally back. Which is fortunate because winning her back becomes a priority when the pair's lives take an unexpected turn.
Now here comes the naughty step part...Goodness me does Tracie Delaney pack an emotional punch in this book! Not once, but several times throughout I wanted to wail out loud. Though Cash and Tally's relationship is riveting, there are some unexpected shocks that add to their turmoil. Just as there are moments of pure joy.
The author seems to enjoy putting her extremely well developed characters through hell, but puts them back perfectly. The series, and especially this book, takes you on an emotional rollercoaster of angst and delight. And with an incredibly skilled plot, Ms Delaney has created an absolute winner. The ending is beautiful!
Now come off the naughty step Tracie Delaney, you have more books to write!
5 Butterfly Rating!

Tracie Delaney is the author of the Winning Ace series. She loves nothing more than immersing herself in writing romance, although she sometimes, rather cheekily, makes her characters wait for their HEA. When she isn’t writing or sitting around with her head stuck in a book, she can often be found watching The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones or any tennis match involving Roger Federer. Her greatest fear is running out of coffee. Tracie studied accountancy, gaining her qualification in 2001. Her maths teacher would no doubt be stunned by this revelation considering Tracie could barely add two plus two at high school. Tracie lives in the North West of England with her amazingly supportive husband. They both share a love of dogs, travel and wine. Tracie loves to hear from readers. She can be contacted via her website at www.traciedelaneyauthor.com or via Facebook where she regularly interacts with readers.
