Review
Through first person point of view you are introduced to the story by Laura. Immediately you are drawn into the situation and want to find out more. Has she really done what she's been accused of and more importantly - why?
Daniel, for once, is at a happy stage in his life. Having met the person he can finally connect with and envisage a future with, he begins to question his past. Deep down he's always felt as though something wasn't quite right. And he's soon to find that to be true. What he discovers changes everything.
At first I thought the author had revealed too much too soon. Except there were further twists to be revealed. Through Daniel's third person POV you discover why his childhood was difficult and you begin to sympathise with him. How can Laura redeem herself after everything she's done? Aren't her actions unforgiveable? But then when you get deeper into Laura's story you begin to understand her actions more.
This is one story that doesn't really have a happy ending. It's about forgiveness, acceptance and moving forward. The last chapters have all the emotion and the author really moves you with this thought provoking read.
