Joint Review - Little Kitty The Cat Burglar

When I was asked to review a children's book I jumped at the chance, especially this one as all proceeds go to Alzheimers Research UK. As a parent I have had the pleasure to read many books with my children and to say that they are valued is a huge understatement. I have fond memories of those first stories that stirred my imagination and to give a shout-out to books that could inspire future generations of readers and authors is my absolute pleasure. I also thought it might be a good idea to get the opinion of my mini-me and bookworm in training - Lucie, my nine year old daughter. Read on for both of our reviews and to enter the giveaway!

LITTLE KITTY THE CAT BURGLAR

BY CATERINA LONGTAIL

Little Kitty wouldn’t exactly call herself a cat burglar. She just likes to bring back the occasional gift for her humans... A lovely story for younger readers and adults alike - perfect for reading together. Beautifully illustrated by Catie Atkinson and designed by Rachel Lawston.

So Lucie, what did you think?

Lucie's Review (9yr old)

I really liked the base of this story. My favourite part was when Little Kitty met Thor. I thought Little Kitty was a bit cheeky. Brave and cheeky! This is a fun book and I recommend it to young readers. I wish there was a series of books about Little Kitty.

5 Butterfly Rating because that's the highest.

My Review (40ish yr old)

Well if cats could talk I'm sure they'd say exactly the same things Little Kitty did. Home alone, Little Kitty's only concerns are for the food in her bowl. Pretty much sums up cats in general. But this cat has a knack for stirring up mischief - even when she isn't looking for trouble it comes her way.

This book is purrfect (sorry, couldn't resist) for young, developing readers who can read independently, or by those parent's who are clinging on to those bedtime cuddles and reads.

Written by multiple authors, this story flows seamlessly well and credit to everyone who donated their time for such a deserving cause.

A lovely, sweet, family read!
